At a Glance
The Middle School at Heights College includes Years 7 to 9, and is part of an exciting and integrated learning program that begins in Kindergarten and flows through to Year 12. It is an initiative that reflects the Mission Statement of the College which states that we exist “To provide a Christ-centred education where individuals are taught and nurtured to strive together for excellence”.
‘Middle Schooling’ describes the phase of schooling bridging primary and senior education. It is a time that involves more physical, social, intellectual and emotional changes than most other periods of life. Therefore in recognition that early adolescence has its own characteristics, elements and challenges, Heights College began its Middle School in 2002.
In order to ensure that all students have the opportunity of reaching their full potential, the curriculum is under constant review towards increasing innovation, integration and a practically-oriented focus. Heights College Middle School aims to combine uniquely fresh and relevant academic challenges within an encouraging, stable and nurturing environment. Our emphasis is “For Excellence, For Greatness, For Christ”.
