College Overview



Heights College, a Ministry of the Cathedral of Praise is a growing Kindergarten – 12 Co-educational Christian College located in Rockhampton with enrolments of about 1000 students in 2024.

Prospective applicants need to be committed Christians who will support the Christian ethos and values of the College and need to be able to teach from a Christian worldview perspective.

Applications are invited from interested parties throughout the year, these applications will often be the first reviewed as vacancies arise. Vacancies are generally advertised through electronic sites, and through recruitment consultants.

Current vacancies for 2024 include:

  • Before and After Kindergarten Care

    Diploma in Children’s Services (or willingness to obtain one, however must have the pre-requisite of Certificate III in Early Education and Care) or Bachelor of Education Early Childhood.

    Position requires daily shifts 6.45am-8.45am, 2.45pm-5.30pm plus full-time hours 7.00am-5.30pm (with lunch break) during school holidays.

  • Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)/Vacation Care (VAC) Team Member

    Diploma in Education and School Age Care or enrolled in a relevant university degree (Prep – Year 6 Program) – includes teaching, speech, OT plus many other courses – enquire if you are interested and we can check your course eligibility. Unqualified staff may also apply however positions for unqualified persons are limited.

    All applicants require a current blue and first aid certificate including CPR or willing to obtain one.
