Enrolment Process
ABOUT OUR COLLEGE
Heights College has developed a unique and very special culture that is unlike any other school in Central Queensland, and we invite you to explore this website so that you can make an informed decision about enrolling with us. If you'd like to flip through our Prospectus, please click here.
Our College Registrar, Mrs Jo Kavanagh, would love to hear from you if you require any further information about our College and the educational programs we provide. Please call 4923 1800, or email registrar@heights.qld.edu.au.
We do offer a limited bus service to outlying areas such as the Capricorn Coast and Gracemere. Please see more details about this fantastic service in the 'Our College Life' menu.
Places are limited in a number of year levels across the College so we advise applicants to apply well in advance. We look forward to hearing from you!
ENROLMENT PROCESS
Upon receiving your completed enrolment application (and the non-refundable application fee), our College Registrar will commence the application process. All enrolment applications are subject to the college's Privacy Policy which states how the College will use your personal information.
APPLICATION, ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEWS
Once the application form has been lodged we may arrange for assessments to be conducted, and time to meet your family and show you around the College. Students enrolling between Year 3 and Year 9 will be asked to complete an online diagnostic test which assists the College in best catering for their individual needs. Where relevant and applicable, a copy of the most recent school report, the Year 3, 5, 7 & 9 NAPLAN Report results and any other information concerning the child's development will be required at the time of application. The child's birth certificate and vaccination register record will also need to be sighted. As a final step, parents will be invited to attend a family interview with their child/ren and the Headmaster. The whole process is designed so that we get to know the strengths of each student and allow time for any questions that the student and/or parents may have about the College and our programs.
